A Morning of Support, Learning and Connection
Finding the right information, support and people to speak to can sometimes be difficult for families navigating Autism, ADHD and different support needs.
Thwalisanani — “Carry Each Other’s Burdens” is creating a space for families, caregivers and community members to come together, learn, ask questions and connect.
Hosted by Mrs Bongi Peter, a parent raising children with different support needs, the event brings something especially valuable to the conversation: the perspective and lived experience of a parent.
Rather than families having to navigate different questions and sources of information on their own, the morning brings together guest professionals in the fields of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Neurology and more.
The event is open not only to parents of children with Autism or ADHD, but also to family members, caregivers and anyone who would like to learn more.
The morning will provide an opportunity to hear from professionals working in different areas of child development and support; learn more about Autism and ADHD; ask questions; connect with other families and receive encouragement from The Word of God.
